Overview of the Project : The Government of India is initiating a decentralized, state based Integrated Disease Surveillance Project(IDSP) in the country in response to a long felt need expressed by various expert Committees. The project would be able to detect early warning signals of impending outbreaks and help initiate an effective response in a timely manner. It is also expected to provide essential data to monitor progress of on going disease control programs and help allocate health resources more optimally.

Training & Others achievements: Training of all personnel involved under Integrated Disease Surveillance Project is essential for better implementation of the project. Apart from this, new staffs were recruited now and then and they are also needed to be trained as it is necessary to have a trained staff at all levels. Medical Officers and Multipurpose Workers though they have completed training needs refresher training for better implementation of the project as they are assigned with many other responsibilities.
